To Blog or not to blog...

Let me first introduce myself...
I am a 33 year old African-American female that lives in the suburbs of New York City.  I have a great career, fabulous family and friends, a house, a car, a savings plan, and I am single.  Not just single because I decided to be single.  Sinnnngggllleeee....I don't even know the last time a male has called my phone that wasn't a family member.
Now why create this blog you ask?  Well a few weeks ago there was an article that talked about the plight of the single black female (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/09/AR2009120904546.html?sid=ST2009120904680), while I could relate to most of it, I couldn't relate to how mean the women in the article were.  Not dating someone because of class or hairstyle seemed trivial to me.  Sure there are men I wouldn't date but that's cause they don't have teeth or can't read or something.  Corn rows don't bother me.  So I decided to blog about my dates for the next year.  I am going to date whomever asks me out...even if he is toofless, yes I said toofless.  I am going to accept any and every date that is asked of me and then share it with you.  Of course the men's names will be changed to protect the innocent but the story must be told.

  1. OMG, we were talking about this Washington Post article at work and the women I work with (and myself) were quite disqusted that the woman being interviewed was so nasty. No wonder she is single. I can't believe her tale and tail are being considered for a screen. Down with her! Love your blog!!
